Using with my Sony E 11mm 1.8. The lens cap is also a nice bonus.

This filter fits perfectly on the Sony SEL-35F18 standard lens (fixed focal length, 35mm, F1.8). After buying the lens, I screwed on this filter to protect the lens from dust, scratches and other external influences. Recommendation.

First of all: As a hobby photographer, I use the Canon clone with a Commlite AF adapter on my Sony A7II: + Haptics: small, light (117g), short + Processing: ugly, all plastic + Performance: Rapid AF and AF-C (although adapted !) + Optical performance: With an open aperture max. 1.8 nice sharpness, bokeh very creamy (I like that, it's always a matter of taste). Also sharp when stopped down to F/5.7 in the landscape shot. Minimal edge drop, only CAS (chromatic aberrations) were recognizable (see photo transition sky - mountain). Attached are sample images (Jpeg out-of-cam), I quickly cropped the balcony shot to check. So, and now butter on the fish: I paid a ridiculous 100€ for the lens and got a really great optic for it. I analyzed the images in the LR and with my other lenses from Zeiss et al. compared. Conclusion: I can warmly recommend the longest focal length, which doesn't need to hide, to everyone! Especially those who place little value on "Zeiss ect. Prestige", but are simply looking for a very light, small and good 50mm fixed focal length. I just ordered the lens out of curiosity, but it will still have a permanent place next to my camera.

use the following other lenses on my Sony A7 Mark III: 24 - 105mm 4.0 | 16 - 35mm 4.0 | 85mm 1.8 | Just so you have references for my review...I think the lenses I listed above are beyond reproach. I was skeptical about the Samyang at first. I bought the lens because I ... a) wanted a light fixed focal length that forces me to use this really "cool" 35mm;-) b) wanted a light combination c) I'm still relatively flexible with it ("Street " not necessarily only people, but in the city) possibly also portraits (not classic, just more reportage) ... the fixed focal length should of course be quite sharp (but sharpness is really not the most important thing for me when taking photos, just a side note) d) Face detection and eye autofocus would be very nice because then I can focus on composition The Samyang really has all of those things. That's a really good lens! It is of course a value for money monster! The only downside... no metal, but plastic. But I can do without it. It would be "stupid" the other way around. Metal and for that a cucumber of lens, right? Here you can really access without hesitation. It's a lot of fun, the autofocus works really surprisingly well...I wasn't really expecting it.

If you take photos with Sony's APS-C cameras and like to create portraits, you will hardly be able to avoid this lens. Image quality is excellent, build quality is very solid, and it even has image stabilization. You rarely get a real alternative from other manufacturers, especially since the price of the Sony is really cheap. I use the 50mm f1.8 OSS on a NEX, an A3000 and the A7. Even if it was not made for the 35mm image section, the lens can be used well on a 35mm camera of the A7 series. The image section corresponds to that of an APS-C camera, you only get a lower resolution than is possible on the camera (on the A7, for example, 10 Mpx instead of the possible 24 megapixels). A real recommendation to use APS-C lenses on 35mm is of course not supposed to be, there are better alternatives with the Zeiss 55mm f1.8 or the Zeiss Batis 85mm f1.8, but these are also in a completely different price range. But you don't need to be afraid either, because the advantages of a 35mm sensor (e.g. low noise) also work on the SEL50F18OSS. At APS-C, the lens is currently unbeatable and worth every cent!

use the lens on my a6000. Processing and haptics are really good. At f/1.8 it's a little soft. As soon as you stop down a little, the sharpness increases and leaves almost nothing to be desired. However, I have to say that in terms of sharpness, it doesn't come close to the Sigma 60mm 2.8. I had ordered the Sony to have more light intensity with 1.8 and to be able to use the OIS. But since I have to stop down to 2.8 to get really sharp photos, the only advantage the Sony has over the Sigma is the stabilizer. If you can do without the stability and the light intensity of the Sony, I recommend the Sigma. Especially since it's cheaper too!

An amazing lens. To take advantage of the size and weight, the Sony full frame system needs more lenses that are compact, lightweight and with excellent image quality. That fits the bill perfectly. This basically makes my Sony system as portable as my old Fuji system. I also have the 28mm f2 and I actually feel the 35mm is sharper and faster. 35mm is also an easier focal length to shoot and this lens lives on my a7rii 90% of the time.

I think it's a well machined adapter that works very well.. I tried it on a M42 35mm and a 135mm lens .. I was surprised at the quality of images I was able to get on my Sony A7ii and Sony 6000... Well worth the investment.
