This thermal imaging camera is a rugged, high-quality tool with advanced features. I have owned other thermal cameras and have been disappointed. This one won't disappoint. It is well built, the materials feel rugged, and of good quality ABS plastic and rubber. The IR thermal imager is high resolution, coupled with a quality screen. It offers fast processing speed and reacts instantly to environmental changes. The menu has many options, including changing the color palette and recording video and thermal information. It can display and record IR light, visible light, and fusion, where you record the thermal visuals blended on the video. This works better with minimal motion, given that the two sensors, IR and visible CCD, have different processing times. It offers a light for better video capture and to inspect dark areas.The processor automatically detects the maximum and minimum temperatures on the screen and tracks them for you. You can select two different temperature scales for better sensitivity. You can use it in Farenhide or Celsius. You can change measurement parameters like distance, temperature, and emissivity, to more accurately measure temperature on different surfaces. This device is an excellent tool for HVAC work or any other electro-mechanism.

Easy to use right out of the box. Good vision in IR. Easy to focus. Video and pictures are good.

I got this digital camera mostly as a gift for my daughter who loves doing photography. One of the first things you should do is format the memory card. I would also recommend changing the mega pixel settings to the highest in both picture mode and video. When I used the camera, I was really impressed with the picture quality. I love how it has different modes for shooting and capturing video. It has a USB-C port which is a big plus. You can also use it as a webcam. I love how it comes with 2 batteries and a memory card among other things. The built in flash does an amazing job lighting up the scene. You can also attached an external flash on top of the camera. You do need to press the button slightly for it to focus before taking a picture and that can sometimes cause a person to miss a scene that goes away quickly. The camera feels good in my hands, unlike other digital camera that feel flimsy. I can see many uses for this camera, specially if you want to make Youtube videos.

Good for watching wildlife at night especially with the long IR range, I'm very impressed overall. This video that I captured of a Barn owl was only the second time using the binoculars on a very windy night.

Great Video instruction for easy installation and having good video quality of the dash-cam while managing to record 3 channels efficiently.

First, I have several different IR night vision glasses/monoglasses that are designed differently than most models. These have an integrated bracket to use them freehand. They are delivered with a helmet bracket and a head holder. I bought it to use them with the head holder. It is fully adjustable and sticks to her head very well. If you do not use it, just fold the bracket upwards and the head holder keeps it out of the way of leveling the IR brightness, a digital increase and reducing, it can take pictures and videos with sound (the sound is very quiet) . It has a manual focus setting to easily sharpen the image you look at when IR switched off this device to digitally improve the image. In the video I clicked through the different IR levels and switched off the IR to show how dark it is outside. Adjust the level correctly so that the image is not hidden, but if the goals are in the dark, however, these can be used as normal handlasses or even mounted on a tripod. They work just as well during the day as a digital binoculars that can be used free hands, they will work well for you.

A microscope can have high magnification, but poor resolution. Racking the microscope from up to down optically projects an ever-smaller portion (field of view) of the specimen onto the microscopes CCD sensor. The result is magnification with increased resolution (limited by the optics and CCD resolution). The up/down buttons on the microscope digitally magnify by selecting a subset of the sensor’s pixels and digitally upscaling them. The image is bigger (magnified), but there is no increase in resolution (like watching SD programming upscaled on a HD set). The pixel density of the display determines the viewed specimen size on the screen. A good analogy is an HD video is much smaller on your phone than on a large-screen HD TV, but both have the same HD resolution. It’s just that the cellphone is smaller with a far greater pixel density. Magnification without increased resolution is sometimes called “empty magnification”. It is fine for soldering circuit boards, but not useful where both magnification and resolution are needed (i.e., cell structure).
I made the following measurements using a slide (w/ mm scale) and measuring the apparent size on the scope’s screen (no zoom):
- High point (Lowest Power): 22mm on slide measured ~90 mm on screen (~4x) with ~23x13 mm FOV
- Low point (Highest Power): 2 mm on slide measured ~90 mm on screen (~45x) with ~2 mm x 1.1 mm FOV
The digital zoom button (up arrow) provides an additional 2x zoom (~90x max on the microscope's display). Displaying the image to a 27” HD display provides ~6x increase in apparent image size, but no increase in resolution. I assume the CCD sensor is HD (1980x1080), but could not confirm.
Images were sharp with good color on the microscope screen. I would rate the build quality as average for the price. The lighting system is good (and adjustable), but could use better diffusers. The gooseneck lights are definitely needed at low focus (high rack). The UV filter is threaded, but attached with double-sided tape. The rack and pinon focuser had a bit of play, but acceptable in this price range. The barrel focuser was a little stiff. Wireless control did not work out of the box, but I was able to move the circuit board to make contact the battery (not included). No PC software was in the box, nor a download link provided; however, the seller did provide link on request. The instruction manual left a bit to be desired – but all-in-all, my initial impression is that it is acceptable for its intended purpose (i.e., viewing objects visible to the naked eye and circuit board soldering).
