At maximum, my device opens to about 8.4" long. The smallest size is about 2.4". It wouldn't accommodate an iPhone 5s (2.3" wide), for example. It accommodated my largest tablet, the 12.3" HP Chromebook X2 (8.3"). It bows a little for larger devices. The device is mostly plastic, except for the orange silicone grippers and internal springs/rods. It has a brass insert on the bottom handle and behind the main body. The top handle has a cold shoe mount. My device weighed about 2.3 ounces. The grippers don't work particularly well for large cases with flat sides. Thinner devices (<8mm) and devices with rounded edges (like iPhone 6-11) are probably ideal.

The media could not be loaded. I like almost everything about this tripod besides the fact that it is not carbon fiber. I live in Texas so the weather is quite hot, while this is inside the car, noncarbon fiber tripods can absord heat to the point where a touch can burn your hands. Besides that I think this is a very versatile tripod as it allows for ease of travel. I really like the twist knobs which makes setting up much easier with just a 1/4 turn with a full hand grip extending it out completely. One of the legs allows for a monopod mode which enables more flexibility while shooting. I think this tripod is great for traveling as it is compact and lightweight. Overall it is a tripod that I would recommend and fits very well in a good budget.

It's versatile, lightweight (which is great for travel), it's robust and surprising because it's very light and has a very suitable hot shoe for any current camera, even with a long telephoto lens. It also has a hook in case we want to put the backpack up for example and give it more stability.
It also has the conversion to monopod and to be able to take photos that require stabilization at ground level.
In short, a success.

Excellent lamp although it gets hot at high brightness

bought this based on a photographer's recommendation to use at an outdoor, night time festival with low ambient light. It really help to photograph the performers with a continual, set light rather than a distracting flash as it didn't suddenly appear/disappear. Battery life was good & I had no issues over 5 hours. One small thing - the metal foot (cold shoe fit). I wanted to have this light on my camera & could only so that in the hot shoe slot. I didn't like the bare metal on the contacts, so I covered it with insulating tape before inserting.

Very valuable and versatile. It's just a pity that it doesn't really point out that you need another (and which?) shoe to go with it....

Far below the average price of tripods on the market. The closures are made out of plastic, as are parts of the shoe, but overall it's quite sturdy and feels good. I needed a tripod for Canon camera, it's very useful and stable.

This tripod is great. It’s light, steady, tall and with the included shoe, the camera goes on and comes off easily. Best part is how easily it sets up. Love it.
