Some say you don't need this with digital photography, but I've always bought a UV filter to cover my entire lens. No more worries about fingerprints or dirt and dust getting on the lens. Great price and packaged very well, love the case it comes in.

The UV filter from “K&F” is shipped in a small cardboard box. There it is safely packed in a sturdy plastic box in which it is transported safely and shockproof. The scope of delivery includes a cleaning cloth, which is also in a sterile and sealed plastic package. Despite its low price, the filter makes a very high-quality impression. The glass is neatly framed in a metal ring. I couldn't find any distortions or impurities. The thread is also cleanly cut into the metal frame and can be screwed onto my camera without any difficulty. The subsequent attachment of the lens cap or the sun visor can be done without any difficulty. I was looking for a reliable UV filter to provide long-term protection for the lens on my Sony RX10IV and I am very sure that I found it in the UV filter from “K&F”. And, contrary to expectations, the cleaning cloth is also very good. I used it to clean my smudged glasses, which were completely free of streaks and streaks. So far I have only had such a result with boiled cotton rags. I can give the HMC UV filter from “K&F” a consistently good rating and it is already an integral part of my photography equipment. I would buy it again myself if necessary. I give this an absolute purchase recommendation.

I checked on the K&F Concept Canada website and the price on the list (currently $36.99) is the same, although their website says a special price of $46.06. I always put a UV filter on the front of my lens to protect it in case it gets dropped. K&F Concept is a good name when it comes to filters, so I expect it will be decent glass as well. I'm impressed that it came with a lens cap as I lost mine. The plastic case with the wrist strap is great for keeping the filter safe when not in use.

K/F Concept is a brand of photography accessories, which is especially known for its quality/price ratio. I have several things, and I can say from the outset that in general they are very good in terms of the aforementioned star relationship.

We received a small box that is basically the size of the filter box itself. Well, it's actually the plastic filter cover with a silver cardboard cover on the outside. It arrives sealed in transparent plastic, which guarantees no prior manipulation. The box also mentions that it is "slim" (to avoid vignetting and that we "see" the filter in our photos), that it has a multi-layer filter and that it is water resistant.

It has metallic orange levers on opposite sides. It fits very fine and is very comfortable.

A vacuum-packed microfiber cloth is included. Which is suitable for all types of lenses apart from the filter, also for glasses, lenses, etc...

My version of the filter is with a 72mm thread pitch, to be used mainly on my 135mm F2L. Incidentally, most Canon L series lenses are compatible with this filter size.

The filter from ND2 to ND32 varies depending on how we turn the screw. What it does is darken the image progressively, without generating banding or noticeable defects (at least in my tests). Normally you will want to darken the image if you want to take longer exposures without burning the photo, such as in a classic silk effect of water coming down from the river. Another use of darkening the image is when you want to shoot with a very large aperture but even if you lower the ISO to the minimum there is still too much light. This second option is the one I had in mind for my lens: portraits at f2.8 with solaco

In addition to the plastic box with the filter, you will also find a microfiber cleaning cloth. There is a QR code on its packaging that takes you to the K&F homepage. The filter is again in a plastic bag. I don't think that's a bad thing, as it prevents contamination before use. Before use, the glass is free of any fine surface scratches - I've had this happen differently with much more expensive filters. So far I have nothing to complain about in terms of functionality. I've always used filters as protection on my old Panasonic FZ1000 because you can't just swap the lens. (I've also had to replace the filter I used from time to time, problems happen quickly in the heat of the moment.) The filter can be easily screwed onto the lens and doesn't get in the way. It is often said that such UV filters affect the photos taken. I have never noticed this before and it is likely - if at all - only in an area that is perhaps just measurable but not visible. For only €11 I think you can't go wrong with the K&F filters. It's possible that some more expensive filters might be more scratch-resistant, €11 hurts far less when damaged than an expensive filter or even the camera lens. (However, I didn't intentionally test the scratch resistance - if anything turns out in one direction or the other, I will update the review if necessary.) For the moment, the filters get a full 5 stars from me.
