It's just not convenient (or comfortable) to carry a tripod around all day in addition to a load of camera gear. And, most "travel tripods" are just not stable enough for my Fuji GFX100s with a GF lens attached.K&F Concept addresses the weight vs. stability issue by using carbon fiber. It's strong and dimensionally stable but still light. Even with the ball head attached, this tripod comes in at under 3.5 pounds. When folded, it's just 19.5 inches long, so it will fit into most carry-on bags or strapped to the side or bottom of a backpack.The BH-30 ball head operates smoothly and tightens down to prevent any camera movement. The legs extend by unscrewing a knob. This is not my favorite adjustment method, as I've run into situations in the past where sand and dirt begin to affect the smooth operation of the knobs. That said, the legs adjust smoothly and lock down tight.This is certainly not the lightest tripod available, but for the price it offers a good value.

do a lot of landscape photography, and while shutter speeds often allow for hand-held use, there is a distinct, visible benefit to mounting the camera on a tripod. Not only does it reduce vibration, but it also allows different exposure times to be used without the risk of camera shake, for example from running water. I have several tripods, some sturdier (and therefore heavier) than others, and I usually keep a medium-duty tripod in my car. I would describe this K&F Concept tripod as medium-heavy at 1.8 kg, but it is more stable than I expected for this weight. The tripod is made from carbon fiber which gives it strength without being too heavy and it looks great! The tripod comes with a metal ball head that can support cameras weighing up to 16kg. Initially I thought the tripod would be more suitable for videography, but when using it for photography with my Nikon Z-series and a large telephoto lens I find it works quite well for both. It is up to 68 inches tall and can be used as both a tripod and a monopod. Not all photographers like ball heads (they have their pros and cons) and I replaced the ball head with a tri-axis head for a while, but I kind of like the ball head on this tripod. I've been using the tripod for a couple of weeks and I like it. It doesn't weigh much making it easy to carry in a shoulder bag and so far has proven to be a solid mount. I also like the look of the tripod. It's not a cheap tripod, and there are competing models on the market, but the combination of carbon fiber and easy portability makes it a tripod you can use every day.

like the fact that this tripod is lightweight and the carbon fiber makes it a sturdy travel tripod. I had some trouble with one of the legs not being properly extended. However, I think it just stuck temporarily because it was new. Legs straighten and lower now flawlessly. I haven't played with it enough to get comfortable with all the features, but the couple of times I've used it while traveling it works perfectly. I have to practice with the ball head so my camera doesn't wobble back and forth. The clamping device used to secure the camera is a screw type grip and I'm not very happy with the security that provides. I wish it had a better trigger, more like a quick release button that allows the camera to be held and released more securely, on the footplate that goes from the camera to the ball head mount. Otherwise, I find this a very useful and sufficient tripod to take the suitcase with you when travelling.

Unlike most carbon fiber tripods in this price range, this tripod comes with a real video head and not the common ball head photography head. Everything comes in a very nice case. It's a soft padded bag that certainly beats other tripods in this price range. To summarize, I guess I'd say there's nothing here that will blow you away. Everything is solid and seems to have avoided the pitfalls of other tripods in this price range. Just a good tripod with a video head that should last you at least a few years depending on how hard you are with your tripods.

I was looking all over Amazon for a "travel" tripod... I knew I wanted one under 2 pounds, made of carbon fiber and metal, something compact, with a twist knob and a ball head. I finally came across this one and hesitated because of the price...I decided to bite the bullet and check it out. The packaging was not damaged at all. Once I opened it I was blown away how light and compact it was. I stood it up as high as it went and tested how sturdy it was. I was very impressed. It was exactly what I wanted. The entire tripod is made of strong carbon fiber, the twist knobs are made of metal with rubber grips over them. The ball head is also made of metal. It has a level and compass on the top where you put your camera at. The adjustment knobs on the top of the tripod are made of a strong polymer. For someone who literally will just pick up and go to take photos, travel, backpack, or whatever, it is perfect. It does lack some features, however, those features were not included in the information of the tripod so it is not worth mentioning. Quick summary, it is everything K&F says it is, for the value of this product, it is worth getting!
