Buy this filter to protect my 70-200 2.8 lens. In the past I have tried other companies and although I was happy with theirs, I wanted to try the magnetic filters. So far I am pretty happy with the performance. The filter was very easy to install and the light transmission is very good. So you can definitely save time adding another filter to your lens. just bought this filter as insurance for the front element of my 70-200 f/2.8 VR lens. I've bought a few of these now in various sizes, and as long as you're careful not to over-tighten them (they're SUPER THIN and don't hold on easily), they seem to work just as well as the much thicker and more expensive multi-layered B&W filters. K&F usually has good quality, and these filters are no exception. If you get vignetting with this filter, you'll get it with ANY filter. I've never seen anything thinner. I also like that you get a neat little storage case, and the lens cap is just as good as the OEM lens caps I have. I'm not sure what you'd need the little lanyard for (at least as far as filters go), but the included microfiber cloth is also appreciated. In the balance between protection and utility, this filter definitely leans toward utility. It protects my front element from dirt, dust and smudges, but maybe not from strong mechanical shocks. On the other hand, it is lightweight and will never make your image corners look dark. If you are really rough with your equipment, you may need a thicker filter to protect the front of your lens. However, if you value good optical quality and minimal weight, this filter should be at the top of your list.

Aluminum tripods are not as sturdy as carbon fiber.

The filter was really easy to install onto my Canon EF 70-200 2.8 L lens, and it is very easy to maintain. The pictures came out stunning, especially from the water. I lost the end cap for my Canon 70-200 lens and was looking for a solution to my problem. I came across these and they are perfect. It fit perfectly and now my lens is protected again. It comes with some cleaning supplies and some straps to attach the lens cap to your lens, but I prefer to have it free from the lens so I didn't use those parts. I would recommend this product!

Already have the Sony 55mm and G 70-200. With this small, lightweight lens I wanted to expand the options and I'm excited for the price over the quality. It focuses well and has good sharpness. It is used on a Sony A7M3.
