UV FILTER
bought this filter for my 50mm Canon 1.8 (49mm diameter). I decided to buy it to protect the lens from scratches and dust and to have a higher contrast in the photos. The purchased filter fully copes with these tasks, in addition, the materials are resistant and the price is very competitive compared to filters from other brands. I recommend buying.

Terrific!!!!!!!!!!!
Very satisfied. Fits perfectly with my Canon 50mm 1.8. The precise alignment with my Pentax Q. surface and the smooth operation are first class. Everything snaps into place and movement is effortless. My only observation is that the LOCK <-------> OPEN locking mechanism could be a little tighter to be sure the adapter doesn't detach from the lens. This is especially a problem when using larger and longer lenses with this adapter. If this change can be made, I can't think of any other manufacturer that can match this level of quality. A great and fantastic purchase.

Adaptation of a Nikon Nikkor 50mm 1.8 Ai-s
Bought to use my old Nikkor 50mm 1.8 Ai-s on an Olympus Pen E-PL7 as a portrait lens. The adapter pleases both visually and haptically and is very well made. Securely attaches to Nikon lens, securely snaps onto Pen's MFT bayonet like an Olympus or Panasonic lens. Nothing wobbles, no play. I have not tested the light tightness of the adapter against stray light under darkened conditions. The adapter is quite massive at 97 g, but this is reflected in a balanced weight distribution, a pleasant feel and also in a shake-free handling of the entire camera. In connection with focus peaking, manual focusing is really fun. I can use it to focus manually at least as well and quickly as I used to with the sectional image screen of the analogue SLR camera.

Fits, doesn't wobble... Works! UPDATE: Not on the 5DMIII
had been looking for an adapter for my old Praktikar lens for a long time, but either there was nothing on the market or the products had lousy reviews that made me worried about the lens. The shipping came from overseas and was estimated with significantly longer waiting time than it was in the end. The adapter was there within a week. It was packaged well and appears to be of good quality. I immediately put the adapter on my lens (a 50mm 1.8 Carl Zeiss Jena). When I put it on, I had to apply some pressure to push the leaf spring down. The lens then snapped into place reliably and could be placed on the body without any problems. It was also easy to remove, so that the lens can now be carried in the backpack as standard and I can use the slightly different bokeh for gimmicks :) UPDATE: From a purely mechanical point of view, a corresponding lens can be attached to the Canon 5D Mark 3 with the adapter, but the Spiegel offends, so that there is an error message in the body. Whether this applies to full format in general or whether it depends on the lens, I cannot say due to the lack of test objects. In any case, the adapter for my Carl Zeiss Jena 50mm 1.8 does not work on the 5DMIII... Too bad.

Impressive
First of all, one thing is important for me to say: "Without experience and if you only shoot in JPG without the possibility of post-processing in RAW format, you won't get such pictures!" I used the lens on an old Eos 500D. The photos I uploaded here were all shot in manual mode as raw and then edited in Lightroom 6 and exported with the highest level of detail. I used autofocus as well as manual focus here. To date I have shot 200 photos. Absolutely impressed what you get here for around 50€. In my opinion it is in no way inferior to the original Canon and I am very, very, very picky when it comes to technical hardware of any kind. Now all that remains is to prove its longevity. To classify my rating, here are my cameras that I otherwise use/have used: - EOS 100D with 50mm 1.8 STM from Canon & 24mm 2.8 from Canon. - Samsung system camera with K&F Concept 85mm 1.4. - Sony RX100 MK1. - Eos 750D with 50mm 1.8 MK1 from Canon.

ordered this lens for my Nikon D3300. The reason: I wanted to know what other lenses can do. At first I was rather skeptical and looked at some pictures, customer reviews and videos on the internet about the lens. There is a good video on YouTube comparing the YONGNUO to the CANON lens - be sure to watch the video beforehand (video title: YongNuo 50mm f/1.8 vs Canon 50mm f/1.8 II ) My conclusion: Up in any case, don't forget to remove the protective covers on BOTH SIDES of the lens. - The lens takes a tiny bit longer to focus (although almost not noticeable) and is also a bit noisy. - The focus ring is a bit too easy to turn, it seems a little less well made than Nikon lenses + The image quality is really good + Handling is easy + The workmanship is very good + Would be on the "Nikon" lens and not If it says "YONGNUO", you wouldn't notice. So, for anyone who wants to try a 50mm lens and doesn't want to pay more than 100€, this lens is recommended. And about the delivery: I ordered it via premium shipping on Wednesday evening and received it on Saturday, so it was really quick. By the way, the packaging is not "cheap" either, but looks very similar to the packaging of a Nikon lens.

turns night into day
got the Canon 50mm 1.4 because I couldn't get any further with normal zooms. I previously had the 24-105mm F/4 and then switched to the 24-70mm 2.8 due to the poor light output. In the long run, that's not enough for me either. I missed the minimum depth of field and also the light intensity on the Canon 7D. Despite the relatively high light intensity of 2.8, I couldn't offer that. I did a lot of research and came across the Canon 50mm lenses. There were 3 variants. 50mm 1.8, 50mm 1.4 USM and 50mm 1.2L. I decided on the 50mm 1.8 because of the good reviews and got it straight away. After trying it I was a little disappointed. The processing and the speed of the lens were not really right. I didn't buy the 50mm 1.2L because I think it's quite expensive for a hobby. Although I wasn't sure if the quality of the lens justified the almost 4 times the price. That's why I took a look at the 1.4er and ordered it directly. Processing: The delivery was quick as always and it was time to unpack. As soon as I picked up the lens, I knew right away. It was different from the 1.8. It was more robust and stable, although some of the materials stayed the same. Unlike the 1.8, the 1.4 had a metal bayonet. The processing alone is worth the money. Image quality: The focal length on the Canon 7D is 80mm according to the 35mm format and is already a light telephoto. Nevertheless, one has hardly any difficulties to find motives. What you immediately notice in the first picture with an open aperture is the beautiful bokeh. That was a WOW effect at that moment. That wasn't so pronounced with the 1.8. The bokeh was almost round. So I thought to myself, what would that look like with a full-frame camera and a 1.2 if it's really nice. The light intensity is just phenomenal. So far I had never had a lens that was really that bright. You can still shoot handheld in the evening and still get decent pictures at the same time. With an open aperture, the lens has small problems. It could happen that not the whole object is in focus. But that only happens when you open the aperture fully. From f/4 it starts to get really sharp. Some report vignetting. But I can't really confirm that because of the CROP. Another important reason to buy it was the auto focus. The autofocus on the 1.4 was far faster than the 1.8, but it doesn't quite match the 24-70mm 2.8L. As I have learned from other reviews, it is a micro USM and not a ring USM which would be even faster. Conclusion: Simply a very great lens. The 50mm 1.4 is slowly becoming my favorite lens. The light intensity is simply indescribable for the price.

Top lens for many purposes. Great for images with intentional blur. Perfect for DSLR filming.
bought the Canon 50mm f/1.4 and sold my Canon 50mm f/1.8. The 1.4 is superior to the 1.8 in all respects. It looks more valuable and stable, the autofocus is faster and I would also describe the image performance as a bit better (although the f/1.8 is already very good here). I use the 1.4 on my Canon 5D MKII and am very satisfied. I've also been filming with my DSLR for a while now. The 50mm 1.4 is predestined for this. The blurred effect of a large aperture works particularly well in films (see video). Filming at portrait distance looks amazing. There is an exciting effect when you film people like this. Even in dark environments, the lens still lets enough light through when filming (due to the large aperture). - Ideal travel size and weight - Hardly any weight on the DSLR - In dark scenes, it still creates good pictures where other lenses have long since only delivered rejects - Faster and quieter autofocus - No stabilizer; In my opinion, you don't need it for photography either. It would be helpful when filming - super lens for DSLR filming (although the films usually have to be stabilized later with suitable means if you don't film on a tripod right away) Note: many people are surprised when they take photos with an aperture of 1.4 and then get annoyed about the lack of sharpness. Due to the design and the laws of optics, that's the way it is. You should know that. But of course the lens is also very good if you stop down a bit and then work with f/2.8. More expensive L lenses are certainly better in terms of sharpness, even at f/1.4. But in between there are no worlds but a lot of money. *** Conclusion *** A must-have lens in my collection. Great for both photography and filming. Clear purchase recommendation.
