They screw on pretty smooth it have a quality threads, and it work just fine. Perfect for someone who's only going to be casually using their step up rings, I am a professional photographer & I was looking same filter Ring Adapter & I order this product which is very helpful for me when I use multiple filter with my Nikon 5300 camera lens. Great ND filter. Variable. Up to 400ND. Very good quality. Very happy .

Up to 30 sec. Long exposure during the day is possible with this filter. Perfect to shoot for a variable ND filter. A small, sturdy protective box is also included so that it does not get scratched. The only negative point is that it has no stops at min. And max. But not bad for this price!
