I bought this foldable solar panel for it's compact size. It still packs a punch! I'm using the Jackery 300 and I'm pulling 65 watts on a clear day. 50 watts with indirect/ cloudy sunlight. This product has definitely exceeded expectations!

Are the solar panels durable as they are exposed to the wind?

This solar panel is great. Folded up it’s about the surface size of an iPad and 1-1.75 inches thick depending on whether you measure the little junction box sticking out or just the depth of the panels. It’s under 3 lbs which keeps it plenty portable but you will still notice it in your backpack. 3lbs is definitely light enough and even though you can find slightly smaller, lighter panels here’s why you probably shouldn’t:

It isn’t always sunny. Even if you only aim to get 20 watts to fast charge a mid-tier power bank it’s great to have the surface area to catch up to 40w in ideal conditions because as the term implies, you often won’t be in that setting. There are going to be some rainy days were it’s inconvenient to get anything at all which is just a fact of life with small solar panels. But with ~4ft and 40w of solar capability, this can easily keep you going on cloudy days too. As long as it isn’t a total wash out and you can see a bit of blue sky somewhere this 40w panel will still catch 8-10 watts through some pretty serious clouds. A nice day with a clear view of bright sun will get you 33-38w and you can plug along at full speed, but those days when thick clouds won’t stay out of your way you can still catch a decent charge just getting 20-30% of the max input. Plus once the sun comes out and you get some direct access to sunlight you’re off to the races.

I have quite a few portable solar panels and so far this is one of the nicer ones that I have. It's rigid, fairly light, charges my batteries and devices in a decent amount of time. To me, it truly fits the "portable" category.

I have a solar generator with excellent lion energy solar panels. I wanted a 100W solar panel that was smaller lighter and bit more portable. This solar panel comes with Anderson connectors, a connecting cable and a large variety of adaptors that allow you to connect to any solar generator. There is a convenient zippered pouch for all connectors and cables that also has two USB ports for direct connection to anything that uses a USB port. Very well made and a high quality product. I'm probably going to buy another one.

Finally decided to add a solar charging option to my EDC kit by picking up this foldable solar panel and I'm glad I did. It's simple with no exposed wires, reasonably sized when in use or folded up, performed well out of the box and the material feels durable. My phone charged about 20% in 15 minutes which is more than enough for me. Now I just wish I had two.

This foldable solar panel is easy to fold and transport; it is very lightweight. It is sturdy and should last a long time. It is easy to use. It does a great job of charging our devices in its five usb ports which is what we want it to do. This is well made and we are very pleased.
