This is not an astronomy camera, it's a general purpose battery-powered, image-stabilized audio/video color camera. It communicates with your smartphone or tablet via WiFi. I dreagged out a rescued-from-the-trash 102mm el-cheapo refractor, clamped the camera on its eyepiece, and quickly focused on a fake windmill three miles away. I also tried shooting right into the low-angle sun glare in the ocean and the camera didn't blink (like I did)--the automatic gain control took it in stride. Mind you, the telescope made things seem close, not the camera--all it does is replace your eye. This is good because that means you can clamp it onto anything you might look through, such as a riflescope or microscope, or even just point it out the window. Set up is a little fiddly, but if you've hooked up a camera with its own WiFi hotspot it will be a snap. Select the camera wifi hotspot in your camera's settings and then use the app. In short, if you like cool stuff, this is well worth the money.

When opened, this security camera kit comes with everything needed to install it on a wall, post or fence. The main camera is a separate unit from the solar panel. If the camera is shaded, the solar panel can still be positioned on its own mount facing the sun. A small cable connects the two units. Build quality is about average so I would put this in the range of a budget camera that says it's waterproof so it can be used all year round. I cannot comment on value for money as this is listed as unavailable at the time of writing. I would recommend doing a full charge via the USB cable before attaching and setting up. Then the solar panel should help maintain the battery level depending on the position and the number of sunny days. I've found that the solar panel doesn't work at all on cloudy days, so a lot depends on where you live and if it's south facing. Once the camera has been powered on, it can be paired and set up in the free app that can be downloaded onto a smart device. I had no problems pairing at all, although I did this before taking the camera outside to be mounted so it was close to my router and phone. That way I would recommend it. As this is a battery powered camera, many of the normal options that come standard with an AC adapter are not available. Most of these are designed to increase the amount of time between charges. The main feature not available on a battery camera is the ability to take steady shots, which is understandable as that would drain the power pretty quickly. The recordings for this are all made from the motion sensor which, when triggered, will start recording for a set time. Movement and recording times, as well as various other options, can be accessed through the app. I always prefer recording locally to the cloud, so I fitted a 128GB SD card and formatted it ready for use. If required, this provides the option for cloud recording at a low monthly cost. Since this is a PTZ camera, it can be panned and tilted in any useful direction from the smart device. The image can also be zoomed but I find the quality drops so I wouldn't normally use it. Overall this is a very nice budget security camera kit with the added benefit of including a solar panel which reduces the number of charges. This must be taken into account when comparing prices. The HD picture is at 1080p and streams over 2.4GHz WiFi without too many hiccups, this depends on the router setup of roughly. Along with a fairly decent daytime image, this also has an automatic night mode using infrared, which again is clear enough to be able to spot identifying features if needed. I found this to be far better than some other budget cameras I've used that could only see at night what I could see looked like blurry ghosts lol. If you can't run from mains power or just need the convenience of a cordless option, you can't go wrong with this set. However, I will say that a mesh option is always the best way to go, if at all possible.

The camera unit is of a good standard and feels and looks good. It gives a surprisingly crystal clear color image that exceeded my expectations. The multi-directional remote camera is fantastic and zooming in gives very respectable results. The built-in lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 10400 mAh and is very large for video surveillance. I found it easy to just pop in my own large micro SD card and plug in the solar panel's USB-C connector. The templates to stick to the wall helped me drill accurate holes. The solar panel is lightweight, easy to install, and charges the CCTV camera well. I found it nice and easy to follow the Bluetooth instructions to the camera and be up and running in moments. I found the detection too sensitive and switched it to low function via the settings wheel. Now only the movement near the camera alerts me. I like that when I check the camera it can still provide a color image when the LED lights turn on while viewing. I could also switch to infrared. Scrolling through the on-screen menu settings was easy and I'll see if I need to adjust anything else. The 2K HD picture, as you can see in the gallery photos, is sharp and the zoom and on-screen directional arrows worked well and felt good with very little lag. The two CCTV WiFi antennas picked up my WiFi signal very well and maintained a strong signal. I like how I can get notifications and press the microphone button to talk to the courier, friends or postman when I'm out. I can take screenshots and videos about the functions on the screen. I felt at home with this CCTV system so quickly and have already shared the app with my family members so they can access the camera too. This product is excellent value for money and I would highly recommend it for adding extra security to your home. You can purchase additional units and add more to your app.

I say this is the first battery powered camera I've bought. I was skeptical but pleasantly satisfied.
It is made of materials that are comfortable to the touch and feel sturdy in the hand.
Movements that can be controlled via the app are smooth and precise.
The battery lasts a long time, and the remaining power is more than sufficient even on days without sun or rain.
The clip to be attached to the wall facilitates installation, the same applies to the solar panel.
I can absolutely recommend the purchase! !
