I love the automatic chicken door so far. It is working well in our new coop. It has saved me time each morning and evening.

I finally got my hands on one of these automatic chicken doors! I've been wanting one for a while now, and it'll be the perfect addition to my new coop that's under construction. I tested it out outside and I'm happy to report it seems to be working exactly as intended. The aluminum frame and door construction feels very sturdy, and overall, it seems like a well-made product.
While the electronics are working fine for now, they don't quite strike me as the highest quality and don't appear to be very well sealed. Ideally, they would be more weatherproof for long-term use. Another thing I noticed is that the bottom bar of the door, which will likely be exposed to the most moisture, isn't made of aluminum and could potentially rust over time.
The battery setup is a little unusual as well. It has a built-in lithium battery that gets charged by the solar panel, but there's also a separate backup system that uses 3 AA batteries. Oddly enough, the solar panel doesn't charge the AA batteries.
Lastly, the LCD screen on my unit doesn't have a backlight like the one in the product pictures or customer photos I saw online. However, since I'm planning to use only the light sensor mode, I probably won't need to mess with the settings too often. In a pinch, I can still use the buttons or the remote control to open or close the door manually from the door buttons. Overall, this automatic chicken door seems like a solid addition to my coop.

My husband and I love our farm's fresh eggs and have had almost 20 chickens for several years. We've had some issues with animals getting into the coop and hurting our chickens, so I ordered this automatic chicken coop door! What I like best is the automatic opening at 6:00 a.m. and the automatic closing at 6:00 p.m. in the evening. This guarantees the safety of my chickens and their eggs. We have had coyotes and birds disappear to feed in the night and injure some of our chickens and eggs. It comes with a battery and has an emergency power cable plug. I'm very pleased with the fact that it has high heat protection and is safe up to 140 degrees, so it still performs great even in the hottest summer months! I feel much safer now knowing that they are safe in the stable at night and that they have all learned to be in the stable before 6pm. I love that I no longer have to get up early and open the doors for them and they can run around freely in the morning!

This automatic chicken coop door exceeded all my expectations as it can be used with different power sources and has a red flashing light in case of power failure. There are four methods I can use to open the door, so I can easily personalize its functionality. The size of the entrance to this stable can easily be adjusted to suit your needs. In less than ten seconds you can open the door completely. It's sturdy and durable, which is great if you have a lot of chickens. It is an excellent option for defense as it is both waterproof and made of sturdy aluminum alloy. Installation is a breeze using the six-step method described in the manual. It doesn't take long and after that, keeping chickens is child's play. I plan on purchasing more of these doors so I can outfit the coops for my ducks, turkeys, and quail. Anything that is affordable and practical should not be ignored in my opinion. My only regret is that I waited so long for this.

So far the automatic chicken coop door has been a great product and actually has made my day to day tasks much easier. Not to mention, set up was super easy which is always a plus. I didn't need instructions other than just to check to see which mode it was set on.
