I was pleasantly surprised by this camera tripod, which proved to be as versatile as a Swiss Army knife. It reaches impressive heights, making me feel like I might need a step ladder if I were to extended fully. This level of adjustability allows me to capture shots from angles I never thought possible.

I have no complaints about this tripod. My only hope is that it lasts longer than the enthusiasm for a New Year's resolution. The build quality seems robust, which is reassuring, especially considering the investment. While it is a bit on the heavier side, it's a small price to pay for its stability and versatility.

The black and orange color scheme is the cherry on top, adding a stylish flair that makes it stand out in a sea of generic tripods. Overall, it's a solid five-star piece of equipment, perfect for those who frequently use tripods and appreciate a bit of color in their gear.

The tripod itself does what it should. It's stable, it's straight, the quick release plate holds up well and is Arca Swiss compatible, the ball head holds the camera in place and everything feels quite valuable.

This is a step up from the many cheaper quick release plates on Amazon. It is beautifully constructed with moulded safety catches to prevent the plate from sliding off an arca swiss style quick release clamp.

I have it permanently fixed to a heavy 300mm zoom lens and bought it for use with a K&F ball head but have found that it fits all of my other arca swiss clamps too. The only one it doesn’t accommodate is a Sirui clamp which has no recessed grooves for safety catches. I would avoid buying the Sirui clamp altogether and kit yourself out with this style of plate and clamp combination because it is much more versatile, is cheaper, and in this case, just as well constructed.

A fantastic product.

First, I am usually impressed with K&F products, professional quality photo products at a low price point. I find many good features in the K&F 68" Carbon Fiber tripod, but I have some reservations. The tripod comes in a sturdy zippered case with a detachable shoulder strap. (see photo) There are clear instructions and three Allen wrenches to tighten areas like the Arca plate and leg hinges. Generally, these are for maintenance only, most of time you don't need the wrenches or any tools.

The tripod is of a style that requires the legs to be tucked-over for storage. This protects the ball-head and makes it shorter but it is an extra step to deployment. The leg locks are twist locks, they have a large easy-to-use rubberized knobs and only take a half turn. These twist leg locks work well. I prefer lock levers on the legs because they are quicker to deploy, and for my style of photography that is important.

The K&F weighs under three and half pounds. (see photo) A very good weight compared to most competitor's tripods. Though when the legs are fully deployed they have a slight wobble. (see video) Fine in most cases but could be a problem shooting long exposures in the wind. The wobble goes away when the legs are shorter.

Changing leg angles, making into a monopod, and swapping central column to hang the camera upside down are easy thanks to smart modern design.

The excellent ball head and Arca-Swiss compatibility is fantastic. (Fully compatible with my Peak Design Arca Plate) Large knobs and well machined parts make the BH-30 head a breeze to adjust. I found the head and tripod worked well with my Sony A7r and a long lens.

In this price bracket this is a very good tripod. I am taking off a star for the slight wobble in the legs when fully deployed

Let me make a premise right away, I have always believed that the original shoulder straps are the best ever, but after a bad personal experience I can assure you that this is not always the case... This one from K&F Concept is Delivered in a beautiful premium box in gold and silver. I immediately noticed it because the thickness of 3 cm is plenty and it also allows the length to be adjusted from 100 to 160 cm. With its weight of 130 grams, it can carry up to 36 kilograms, a load that cannot be achieved with any combination of SLR and TELE LENS. I can wear it in three ways: classic on the NECK, DIAGONALLY from the shoulder to the opposite side and directly on the single SHOULDER. The WEBBING is made of 100% nylon with synthetic polymers, it's practically the same material as car seat belts... and I've said it all! The HOOKS are made of METAL, are 3 mm thick and not plastic like conventional shoulder straps. Paired with high quality leather with double stitching. In addition, most of the original shoulder straps cannot be easily removed. So I'll let you imagine how inconvenient it is to attach the SLRs to the tripod (or monopod) every time, so most of the time it's best to leave them hanging on the camera, which is dangling and annoying. This one, on the other hand, has two comfortable BUCKLES that allow it to be opened quickly. They are made of a resistant and unbreakable material, stealth nylon. They are released in 3 steps and with the help of both hands, so you can be more than calm, it is impossible for them to come off accidentally (in my video I tried to pull them repeatedly). And finally, the CABLE that needs to be attached to the camera loops is covered with 3 layers, each of which has its own color. It is always good to check the condition of use and color. The outside is BLACK to indicate the excellent maintenance condition, the second inner layer is YELLOW indicating the risk of breakage and finally the last inside is RED indicating the impending breakage of the shoulder strap. In summary, I can say that the choice of shoulder strap is very personal. It's certainly not cheap, but thanks to the opportunity presented, I can trust you that I had no problem running some stress tests. I PULLED, PULLED and MASSED it in virtually every way before entrusting it to my work SLRs, both combined with two lenses (L-series) of significant weight. I tried it on both the Canon 5D with 24-70 f2.8 and the huge “white” mammoth Canon 1D + 70-200 f2.8. However, I found a DEFECT... but only if we decide to use the shoulder strap in the classic way, namely on the NECK. Unfortunately, since it doesn't have a soft lining, it can strain your neck after a few minutes, especially if you're using heavy equipment. It is therefore enough to change position frequently and perhaps move it over your shoulder. It's a shame because it cost very little to be the PERFECT SHOULDER BAG for my needs. If you find it at a discount, perhaps with a coupon, it turns out to be a good deal!
