I am looking for an accurate altimeter for my motorized parachute. A wrist-worn altimeter would probably be better than a golf laser rangefinder when dropping to earth from over 1,200 feet. By the time you get a reading from the LRF, you've fallen a good 100ft or so. I would check skydiving safety standards and see if laser rangefinders are an acceptable altimeter!!!
