I was surprised to find that this lens filter set is packaged in a Neewer branded mailer. The filters are housed in a protective plastic sleeve in a retail carton. You get four focal points, cleaning weave, and the defensive shell.

Because the filters are contained in a rigid, transparent storage case, it's easier to take with you and just slip into your bag. The filters are designed to block out light, which can make your photos and videos look too bright. You'll end up pointing your drone toward the sun or bright reflections because you're flying it in all directions. By reducing the amount of light reaching the camera lens, filters allow better exposure of the entire footage and less glare. Depending on the type of filters you use, they can make colors more vibrant and increase contrast.

Just snap these filters onto your gimbal, designed for the Mavic 3 and Mavic Cine drones. They are light enough not to impede or restrict the movement of the gimbal in any way. Polarization and neutral density are two types of filters that not only enhance your colors but also reduce the amount of light reaching your lens, prevent reflections, and more. Simply attach a filter and you're good to go. There is nothing to set up. The inclusion of four strengths allows you to shoot in a variety of lighting conditions.

I no longer have to worry about flying over water or towards the sun because of reflections. The image is a bit darker, but the contrast is better and the colors seem to stand out more. It seems like something that can be done in post-processing, but if you use a filter you can do it right away without having to mess around with your recorded footage in the software. This 5 stop filter works great, saves time and space when carrying additional filters. Simply rotate the filter to use the filter you want. Now use it on different days with my Mavic 3 Classic. I highly recommend that this filter set is upgraded when I use the darker 5 stop filter. Final comment: These are just as good as the Freewell filters at half the price. They are also very easy to turn on and off.

These filters are really well suited & fit really well on the mount of the Mavic 3 Classic!

Well, most drones today – above a certain price range – are equipped with high-quality, high-resolution camera systems. The parameters of these can be set using the associated flight control software either yourself or via the automatic system.

You will always have to make compromises. For example, if you want to display the cloud pattern in the sky as realistically as possible, the background of the landscape often disappears in the dark or, conversely, the sky "drowns" due to overexposure and the ground reveals its secrets. (Everything is shown in a very shortened form) However, the camera, like us humans, needs “sunglasses” in bright sunlight. And this is exactly the task of the filters reviewed here. As ND filters, they enable more specific camera settings in bright light. Because this is dampened. Anyone who is interested in more detail is referred to the relevant YouTube videos. This can only be roughly described here.

In addition to the pure ND filters, which simply differ in their light transmission in numerical values ​​(4 / 8 / 16 /32 /64 etc.), where the higher the number, the less light is transmitted, these filters also have a POLISARITIONS -Possibility.

To do this, they only let through special – depending on the direction of rotation – horizontally or vertically POLARIZED light waves. Now what is this good for? Well, you have certainly already admired the brightness reflections on a water surface, for example, because they are beautiful to look at, or just cursed because they outshine everything in your photo? Well, these reflections can be (almost) completely eliminated with these polarizing filters. Simply by carefully rotating the filters. As a result, light rays are only let through in one POLIRISATION level (vertical or horizontal), and the light scattering of the reflection is thus destroyed.

So, swap out the front camera cover on the drone camera for an equivalent filter. You try the right filter selection by holding individual filters in front of the camera and choosing the most suitable one for the lighting conditions found.

The 64 filter complained about here can actually only be used in the desert or in snow, which strongly reflects the sunlight. A 4 filter, on the other hand, is much better suited to most of the sunlight conditions that occur here.

Otherwise, the filters cut a very good figure, are, if I judge correctly, very true to color and can be easily exchanged for the original lens protection of a DJI - Mavic 3.

To understand how the filters work, it is best to always use the same motif and change the filters. Since I can't fly at the moment, I always took the same shot in our kitchen. The different ND filter effects can only be
seen from the darkening. Please pay attention to the individual explanations of the ND filters used. Unfortunately, I was not able to show the polarization effect accordingly.

My set of Mavic 3 Classic ND filters attaches easily and comes with a neat protective case. Testing the ND64 filter I got a noticeable 1000K Cool/ 2% Green tint color cast, but the spectrum transmission is smooth so it can easily be corrected in post. The sharpness is good. Overall happy with the filters, especially for the price.

Hey I love it but can't get it to twist and lock all the way around. Anyone else? Maybe it fits differently than what was designed for the cine etc.?

I really like that the filters are made of metal. In addition, one weighs just 8g, which does not change the flight characteristics of the drone.

The compensation is excellent, the filter has no color cast.

Conclusion
In my opinion, the K&F Concept ND filter set is a very good product. The filters are cleanly processed + the set is thoughtfully put together. Long exposures with ND256 or higher filters will not be done from the air anyway, so I think the ND 64 is the all-purpose weapon for very bright environments or very long shutter speeds for motion blur.
At the time of my review, the price of the filter set was around EUR 50, which in my opinion represents an excellent price/performance ratio.
