Works as described
Seems to work as described. Door is a little smaller than I expected but should work fine for my chickens. Installation was easy and took only a few minutes. Will update after door has been in use for a few weeks/months.

Awesome electric chicken coop door for our chicken coop!
Y husband and I love our farm fresh eggs and have almost 20 chickens that we have had for a few years now. We have had some issues with animals getting into the pen and hurting our chickens so I ordered this automatic chicken coop closing door! My favorite feature is how it automatically opens at 6:00 am and at night in the evening, it automatically closes at 6:00 PM. This guarantees the safety of my chickens and their eggs we have had coyotes and birds that have gone in the eat night and hurt some of our chickens and eggs.
This comes with a battery and has a backup power cord plug im super happy with the way that this has high heat protection and is safe to up to 140 degrees so even in the hottest summer months it still works awesome! I feel a lot safer now knowing they are safe in the coop at night and they all have learned to be in the coop before 6 pm. I love how I don't have to get up early and open the doors up anymore for them and they are free to roam in the morning!

Hyenas?
First thing I did when I took it out the box was plug it in. I must have accidentally hit the down button, because it shot the door out the bottom. There is a piece of aluminum strip that goes in the bottom to prevent the door going to far down, but there weren’t any screws in it to prevent it coming out.
Not an issue putting it back together.
You have to remove the control/drive box to put batteries in. Tested fine, pretty easy to program. The A/C input is kinda loose, and it plugs in on the bottom right of the box. All the pictures show the control box on the outside, but I wouldn’t recommend that. Door height opening is adjusted by motor operating time. (Less time run, lower open)
Weak point looks to be the drive gear, but if you clean the door regularly enough it should last a good bit.
It’ll be nice not to have to get up with the chickens to let them out.
I wouldn’t rely on this to stop a raccoon. Or a hyena, as in the pics. But if your birds are in a relatively secure area already, should be fine.

Cool little door
Good little door! The solar panel is a little cheap feeling, needs more mounting options. I mounted on my coop roof and had to build a bracket.

A Versatile and Reliable Coop Door for All Your Poultry Needs!
I recently purchased the Life Basis automatic chicken coop door and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in every way. This product offers multiple power supply options, allowing me to choose the most suitable one for my needs. Whether it's the solar panel, power adapter, or AA batteries, I never have to worry about power outages or the hassle of finding electricity. A fantastic feature I noticed is that a red light flashes to indicate when there is no power, so I am always aware of the status.
The versatility of this coop door is truly impressive. With four different open door modes, I can tailor its operation to fit my specific requirements. The Timer Switch Mode allows me to set precise opening and closing times using the programmable timer. Alternatively, the Light-sensor Mode automatically opens the door at sunrise, ensuring my flock gets out into the yard bright and early. For ultimate control, the Remote Control Mode enables me to manually operate the door at any time, while the Manual Switch Mode provides a convenient button on the solar panel for easy access. The combination of these modes gives me the flexibility to open or close the door as needed.
The intelligent design of this coop door further enhances its functionality. I appreciate the ability to adjust the door opening size and height by setting the "Motor Time." If I want the door to open fully, a motor time of 10 seconds achieves a height of 9.8 inches (25cm). However, if I prefer a partially open door, I can set a motor time less than 10 seconds. This feature allows me to accommodate different sizes of chickens and ducks, ensuring everyone can comfortably access the coop.
Durability is a key factor when considering any outdoor product, and the Life Basis coop door does not disappoint. Constructed with high-quality aluminum alloy material, it provides effective protection against predators while remaining waterproof and durable. I've tested it in various weather conditions, from scorching heat to freezing cold, and it has continued to function flawlessly. With an impressive working range from -15°F to 140°F (-26°C to 60°C), this coop door is built to withstand the elements, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Installation was a breeze, thanks to the detailed user manual provided. It took me no more than 10 minutes to set up the entire system, and I was impressed by the straightforward process. In addition to its ease of use, the coop door's versatility extends beyond chickens to include ducks, geese, and most poultry. It's a great solution for backyards and farms alike.
Lastly, I must commend the outstanding customer service provided by the Life Basis team. They are prompt and reliable, addressing any concerns or issues within 24 hours. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is truly commendable.
In conclusion, the Life Basis automatic chicken coop door is a game-changer for poultry owners like myself. Its multiple power supply options, versatile modes, intelligent design, weatherproof construction, and easy installation make it an exceptional choice. I highly recommend this coop door to anyone seeking a reliable and efficient solution for their feathered friends.
