- 1. Plug it into your CarPlay (use the included Type-C connector if your car has a Type-C CarPlay interface).
- 2. Activate the WiFi, but please do not connect to any WiFi on the list, leave it on but unconnected.
- 3. Activate the Bluetooth and pair it with "Smart Dongle-xxxx", then click the prompt "Use CarPlay". Wait for 5-15 seconds to connect successfully.
- Warm Tips:
- 1. During use, your phone's WiFi will be occupied by our device, it will not be able to access other WiFi networks.
- 2. After pairing, our device disconnects your phone's Bluetooth. Connecting to other Bluetooth devices may disrupt CarPlay audio/mic. To fix, disconnect from other devices or turn off Bluetooth.

Worth the price
This adapter was pretty easy to set up and definitely has high quality construction. It is relatively small and I like that it has a short length of USB cable. Because of this, it can be plugged into the USB port even if it has low clearance from something like a hatch on the dash/console. It seems to be made of glass and aluminum, which gives it a nice feel and probably helps with heat dissipation.

Easy setup and quick start up
I've tried others in the past that were unreliable, overheated or lost connection at the slightest bump in the car. This one is small and was very easy to set up for first use. After that, it quickly made connection each time I started the car and has been very reliable.

Definitely worth purchasing!
My car has a wonderfully big display, but did not have the navigation screen I need being in a new city. I had to rely on my phone, which was distracting having to pick it up and look at it too often. I bought this product and will never look back! Not once, since installing it, have I picked up my phone to look at a map, switch music playing, or make a phone call. Easy to install, easy to use, and easy to switch between phones if someone else is driving. It is way better than the built in navigation of my daughter's Nissan.

Way better than another I tried
Ordered this to update to a wireless Carplay experience. It is a little larger than the simple USB chip style I use for Android Auto in another application. I like that it comes with the adapter to choose USB A or C, no need for getting an extra piece.
Plugged in easy and connected to my iPhone without issue. It connects consistently and reliably to my iPhone and works with my Chevy Colorado. I think my Colorado radio has quirks and its own reliability issues for connecting to Carplay but the dongle works properly and I have no different or or more frequent issues than I have with my Chevy radio already. i truly believe any issues are just the truck's factory radio concerns.
I did try a different brand and it did not connect to the phone without a couple of tries so this unit is a big improvement.

If your car supports CarPlay via USB and you can already use it when your iPhone is plugged into the USB port, then the wireless adapter for carplay should work just fine. I’ve been using one for about a month now with my 2020 Ford Fusion, and it’s been working great.
